What causes wrinkles in the arms of a dress shirt?

It seems as though even if I iron a shirt very well but then put it on and move my arms a lot (I have muscular arms that crinkle the shirt when I lift them) it gets wrinkeled very easily. Is this normal? Is there something I can do about this?

Keep your arms utterly immobile throughout the day.

Do not move them under any circumstances.

voxsartoria is right someone with heavy arms should at no time bend them.
for shame,i am surprised that you do not know this proper gentle mens rule.
hint, shirts with looser sleeves do not wrinkle as much.

Shirts are going to wrinkle. After all you are bending/creasing/smooshing fabric as you move around. If you are concerned about it, get non-iron. Fabric may not be as nice but at least you won't have to worry about wrinkles.

I think different types of wrinkles are caused by different things. Large baggy sleeves ar going to "wrinkle" and fold while slim/tight sleeves are going to have lost of finer creases bunched together (see GetSmart)

If you buy Vintage from the old Frank Baum days you'll have some rust issues, but no wrinkles.
I believe Aquascutum now has a rust-free version.

It is the nature of cotton fabric to wrinkle. Wear short sleeve shirts.
