I would avoid The 300 at all costs.

I have been driving it as a rental car for several months, and am surprised at the huge quality gap between the Mercedes E and The 300.

The 300 is based on the E chassis. Chrysler managed to pair it with a cheap engine, junk transmission, typical American boat springs and suspension and turn it into a disaster.

The car handles poorly, stops poorly, has cheap interior build, and the engine does not feel good at all. As luxury rental car I prefer it to the Lincoln Town Car, but I would never, ever buy it.

Hmmm... that is pretty much, word for word, the exact opposite of everything I've heard about the 2007 Chrysler 300. Did you have the Hemi/Manumatic or the lame v-6 four speed auto version? Regardless... I won't be buying any new cars, but I appreciate your concern.

Since it`s a rental, of course I have the lame version. More power and better transmission from the Hemi/Manumatic would be nice, but the rest of the car is not so good either, so I`m not sure that would make much of a difference.

I just have to interject -- I had a Town Car for a rental. Man, it's awful! Mushy suspension, wallows like a fat sow, can't get out of its own way, and sounds like its dying if you try.

That´s weird, as I have read that Lincoln Town Car was great.
So the Maybach 57 and 62 are way better than this one?

Not the world I would choose to describe a classic Bugatti, especially a Royale.
I think you mean word not world. However you have a good point, calling it classy is to insult it, a better word could be elegant or even better magnificent.

Yes, sorry I meant 'word'.

Brilliant, amazing, etc...would better fit a car of the 41's level.

No reason to interject

I said I prefer the 300 to the Towncar, and I agree with you that it (Towncar) has mushy suspension and wallows like a fat sow.
