Give them to a homeless person.

It seems like tennis shoes or possibly boots would be better suited for a homeless person than uncomfortable dress shoes.

I'm actually in the same boat:
I still only have 3 pairs of nice dress shoes and one of those are horrific Kenneth Coles. They are broken in enough finally that they aren't that uncomfortable, after the effort I'd feel strange dumping them, and they were relatively expensive considering how infrequently they get worn. But still, after wearing a nice pair of AE's for the first time not that long ago I think about giving the crap shoes to a thrift store every time I see them in my closet.

you should keep one single pair out of those beaters which you like the best. Give the others away or sell them on ebay.

keys to ebay: use 3-4 clear large pics, describe it well, original box is a plus. I would expect $30ish on them.

My beaters are some rubber soled black clarks

Soldiers under siege used to eat their boots for the nutrients in the leather...so I guess that could work, to a point...keep 'em for when the machine revolution comes and we have to live underground.

most homeless people and transitionally homeless and could probably use dress shoes for job interviews and the like. as for the chronically homeless, boots or tennis shoes are probably better, however.

I think i just might use the pair of Burgundy Bostonians for a antiqueing experiment.

I have no idea if it is calf skin though. How can I tell? As far as I know, the leather is decent quality.
