Recently picked this up. I love the color/pattern of this jacket material -- it goes great with everything, but something about the buttons seems a little too grampa-looking for my tastes.

I need to have the sleeves let out a little anyway, so I figured I would have the buttons replaced at the same time.

So what color/style of buttons would you guys recommend? I was thinking of something very simple in navy or charcoal. Or is there a good reason why I should keep the existing buttons?

I don't like that kind of buttons either. I think a medium to dark brown horn would look fine. If you could come across some of the buttons like Oxxford uses on their blazers, those would also work well. They are sort of a dull ribbed metal look. Not sure where you'd find them though.

I agree any sort of horn button would surely look better than those leather "grampa" buttons. Thats a good looking jacket.
