I have a jacket I recently obtained from eBay. It's an oddball for sure, but I like it and have already made a few pairings with it that I like. There is just one problem. I hate the crappy plastic buttons that came with it. I want to change them out but I'm not sure exactly what I should put in their place. Should I go for contrasting horn buttons? Maybe smoked MOP? Something else entirely? I would love some suggestions because this peculiar jacket is a tough nut to crack.

    Brown shell perhaps.

Personally I'd go for a brown horn, closer to the first example that you posted rather than the second.

Yes, but ideally I'd like the top ones to be more brown than charcoal grey. But still, I think the top one looks pretty good.

I was considering smoked MOP, but do you think it would be too much for this already out of the ordinary jacket? That's the only thing preventing me. I think I might be leaning toward horn.

No smoked MoP for this one. That's for summer and maybe evening jackets. I like the ones you have in post 8.

MOP would be too much, agreed. The horn and the first buttons look good (cant be certain of type just from a picture). Horn +1 too.

What a cool thread thanks for Caustic Man, Bennos Buttons looks a cool and serious seller.

Btw, the first set of buttons is a brown shell of some kind, from Bennos. They are definitely a cool seller!
