I have a tall and lanky body - 6'1 170 lbs. Due to this, for some reason I feel more 'solid' where thicker and fitted shirts. Even short sleeve during the summer. Where can I find thicker, heavyweight button up shirts (short and long sleeve)? Not exactly formal dressier shirts, more like casual button ups. And not the super thick winter shirts, just casual shirts.

What you want is Oxford cloth.

Try Kamakura shirts. The New York slim fit should work for your dimensions.

Domestically, Gitman would work too.

I doubt any shirting brand would discriminate or particularly fond of using thick fabrics. You can find them in all brands. You like thick fabrics probably because they have less drape and more structure so that shirts made of them will enhance rather than accentuate your frame. If you buy online you can train your eyes to recognize thick and structured fabrics.

Besides oxford weave, many other weaves can be made thick, like twill, basket, and even plain weave. But do they need to be thick, heavy and structured at the same time? Taffeta has good structure but is lightweight and thin. Gauze is thick but lightweight. Knitted shirting fabrics like pique and jacquard knit can be thick and structured while also being breathable. Workwear brands tend to use thick fabrics more often to make shirts.
