3. Mid-grey thick moleskin high-back trousers (Vauxhalls from Old Town);
4. Pale pink and striped tailored fit dress shirts from CT;
5. Various waiscoats and vests (vintage dress and modern knitted - in blue, brown, red and silver);

7. Screenprinted silk and cotton Japanese pocket squares;
8. Chunky black pebbled leather vintage Florsheim Imperial longwings with rubber soles;

However, for non-office wear:

1. Black Helly Hansen goosedown jacket
2. Shetland wool v-neck sweater in silver;
3. Various casual shirts from CT;
4. U-T T-shirts
5. Thermal underwear from Mountain Equipment Co-operative;
6. Naked & Famous Nep selvedge jeans;
7. Plain Italian-made leather belt from H&M;
8. Italian wool hat in olive, also from MEC;
9. Serious ski gloves;
10 Loake 1880 tan brogue boots or massive Sorel snow boots for when there's thick snow on the ground.

3) Rider Boots cordovan chukkas
4) Somet 003 jeans, by now faded

It's good classic jeans that one can't really go wrong with. Wore them myself for years.

Ahmen to that :slayer:

The rep for Kiton in the US told me his favorite jeans were STF Levis 501 that he bought at Sears.

I'm not saying they're not decent, but on Styleforum I would have thought there'd be a bit more variety/flair

But this would be getting into SW&D territory wouldn't it? I think I know what 'selvedge' or 'raw' denim is, can't say I've ever worn it though. I just get my jeans from the local supermarket now, in the absence of real 501s.

I don't understand the animosity between each side of these forums.

And how might anyone who favors and appreciates Kiton, Alden, etc. really resort to supermarket for something that serves as such a wardrobe staple as denim does?

Not wanting to provoke anyone, but really wondering outloud.
