1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

J Matsu should come over here, some of the guys will then realize my comments are eloquent by comparison.

I was trying to be nice because I'm new around here, but I'm just going to go ahead and speak my mind (especially since my outfit is 'painful' to look at). How is an outfit like yours better than mine? Why do I care what I look like? For the ladies-- and if I ask any lady I can almost guarantee they'll think that weird ass bunny shirt, thigh tight jeans (which make your feet look huge), and typical converse style shoes is a lot less appealing than my outfit. Maybe I wear weird stuff because I'm trying to repel the average 250 pounds fat heffa with sweaty pits and a visible thong from coming near me. You can have them all, my treat.

The fits make you look like a little boy, as well. That's my wifes perversive influence, you'll have to speak to her about that.[IMG]

And no, I'm not close-minded because I think there are a lot of people here that look a lot better than me (know so). Berlin report and sauce for example have amazing style. But honestly, some of your shit is painful to look at in my opinion. I'll take my mall brand jeans and t shirt over that any day. . Blend in, nothing wrong with prudish taste when it comes to clothes. I'm just part of a small demographic that will on occasion help you guys think out of the box with some weird ass bunny shirt, that's my job![IMG]

All in my opinion of course. I have not one bad thing to say about your opinion. Just toughen up, I'll always speak my mind, otherwise whats the point?.

And I had nothing, but respect for your individuality-- but I figured if you hate my outfit I should tell you how I feel about yours.

Didn't you mean "kind" instead of eloquent?

PS: If you're still spelling it eliquent after a decade in the US it is safe to conclude your Britishness is unassailable.

I've been noticing Rye's been a lot more critical lately. A few more weeks, and he'll be near jmatsu levels. Something got your knickers in a twist, Rye? [IMG]

Rye is getting my vote if there's ever a wall decoration porn animal head-off.
I just want to know if he changes the wall decor to match the t-shirt.

[IMG] I'm so so busy at work when I do check the forum I've tended to throw down a couple of gut reactions because of time constaints. I also noticed a few guys have wandered off (Bona Drag, Cheap also, who I thought brought some excellent outfits and opinions) and found out it was due to the feeling that it was getting a little stale around here. Not that the cure is to attack every new member or wayward outfit but I do think being more "Truthy"™ has inspired some nice verbal bouts recently.

If your talking about the clothes then sure the Hypebeast infestation is boring (Supreme, Neighborhood, The Hundreds, Bape etc zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz). I like the gloves off approach over there though, you can blow off steam and get a little[IMG] .

Whether or not you like his style, his clothes undoubtedly fit... the rest is just personal preference of aesthetics.

That is the thing!!! A person's FIT is also their PERSONAL PREFERENCE OF AESTHETICS.

holy crap, what a fire storm....i think this is the most activity this thread has seen in a while.

nothing spookier than scanning recent threads and seeing an old picture of yourself. wow!

i admire rye's honesty, otherwise what's the point of this forum. i myself am always eager for constructive criticsm. i dont regard myself as "fashionable" at all, i wear the same jeans everyday and recently have only been alternating t-shirts with different shoes....boring really. I have the utmost respect for rye, smart, berlin, and sauce (among others) and hope to reach there level someday.

there's really no magical formula to my style, just jeans, shirt, and shoes. I suppose my fits are more "fitted" than the average american but that's about it. if you're serious about good denim, make some measurements of yourself, look at pictures you like online and compare their body type to yours. this will give you a good idea which jeans are right for you. more than likely you'll order the wrong size initially but at least you'll have a pair to compare against your next pair.

as for shoes check yoox, ebay, and sufu/steez markets daily for good deals....add some american apparel and POW.....there's braidkid.

That's what StyleForum is for! We give each other the sartorial approval that our wives and girlfriends won't.

    How sad is that? Wow.

you speak the truth sauce, lately my gf has grown increasingly hostel to sufu and SF claiming she "just can't understand it." I have to limit my time online while she's around otherwise she thinks i'm weird.

Same here, my wife is confused why guys post and not girls. You think the bitch level is high here today. A style Forum for girl's would eclipse the nonsense here and take it too a different level.

Men's Clothing is much more bitchy than Streetwear.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets "What? Why are you looking at pictures of jeans on the internet?" thing from people.
