1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Dude get Paint.Net. It's from Microsoft, free, and awesome. (not something you see everyday, huh? [IMG] )
Between the Office photo editor and basic MS Paint, I'd choose MS Paint which will rotate an image with no distortion (look in Start -> all programs -> accessories) but Paint.NET is still a better free alternative. Actually, Paint.NET is not from Microsoft per-say, it just requires Microsoft's .NET framework to run. Paint.NET is actually opensource (freeware) and was developed at MIT as a "Microsoft mentored" project. GIMP is awesome but since it was developed for linux and later ported to Windows, it has a bit of a learning curve when it comes to navigating around the program. sorry for rambling, I'm a geek....[IMG]

I take it that's your dad in the second pic? It's funny, my grandad also seems to play that instrument. What's it called again? He also plays the harmonica (though that is not completely relevant).

A bit random, I know, but thats what I'm like...[IMG]

My grandma made my dad play the accordian when he was a kid. He hates it...

I already explained on sufu, when I rotate a vert photo it squashes it, so I have to stretch to get it back to normal. here's an unrotated and unmodified (all I did was resize down to 25%) photo for reference.

or download google's picassa. it's free and has basic editing stuff like resize, crop, rotate, even contrast, etc.

I am partial to Irfanview. Have used it for ages now and it does everything and a bit more. Good for a free program

hehe, I love that it was a discussion about my supposed hair loss and family relations when I slept [IMG]

Sorry guys, the accordian player isnt a relative at all, he was playing (with two more people) swedish folk music on that weird boat/ferry trip I mentioned. He seemed like a great guy though, so I wouldnt mind if he was my grandpa...

regarding my hair, Ive shaved it for style reasons the last 8 years or so, but I think it might have started thinning out on the top along the way, so I guess there wont be any more fancy hair cuts for me.
