How much black do you usually wear? I wear a decent amount of black and gray, and black boots are quite versatile for me, but with dark jeans they don't provide much contrast. I'd say if you don't wear much black, brown is more versatile (esp since I've come to like brown + gray better than black + gray for a lot of outfits), but it never hurts to have a pair of black boots around. There are some outfits that just scream for them.
Damn you for casting doubts in my head...

I really don't wear much black as a quick glance in my wardrobe proved, save for a black tee or two and a few black shirts. Come to think of it, I think the black purcells and the nikexwho's would cover most of anything dark I'd wear. Reevaluating my tastes, I think two different shades of brown would really do the trick. They're only around $120+ so if I really end up needing a pair in black it won't break the bank.

I believe I have my answer. Thanks.

Yeah, I actually really like tan boots in casual outfits where black is called for, too, and they're probably more versatile than black. Some people don't like that much contrast, though, so *shrug*.

jpgm props on the cardi and the lady. sauce, I loved that jacket you posted from rakuten, for gods sakes, post anything else nice you find for my amusement and frustration (I looked at all the other gear that "slick" makes, it's all gorgeous, but none of it will fit me. Maybe the 3/4th sleeve hoodies, and I may just order one. We're back to shitty macbook pics: [IMG] [IMG] Jacket is local vintage, stolen from my roomate. Nice look, Halifamous. The jacket especially.

Man, there are so many indie guys on here. I need to start posting some pictures so I can add my face to that roster.

Current music: M. Ward, Conor Oberst, and Jim James -- "Girl From the North Country" (live).

Don't get fooled. Behind the indie facade lives a huge goon.

I just like the music and girls.

Slim, seriously, you look like my brother. Same build (and size too, iirc he weighs in at around 260 lbs,) same clothes, and same belligerent attitude. I still beat him up. So, you want some of me [IMG]
