is giordano a brand seen as decent in australia? over here it's like where every middle aged woman stops by to pick up more plain coloured v-necks. that is, middle aged people (both male and female) who aren't so concerned by dressing.

lol Giordano sucks!
They make decent undershirts though.
I used to wear Giordano almost exclusively when I was 15 and my mum bought me all my clothes

Foreign labourers in HK like Giordano. If you ignore the label and its market, the things aren't actually all that bad.

In my experience Giordano make some nice basics. They sometimes have nice fitted long-sleeve t-shirts, cargo pants and khakis - good to fill gaps in the wardrobe. I also recently picked up a couple of argyle half-zip sweaters which I like.

I think the product range - and marketing - is different here in Australia, though.

I second the thing about the nice basic wear. my personal take is that they're not all that bad--i still have a pair of their jeans from 5 years ago. it's just that they're permanently positioned at the lower end of the market, and hence their stuff isn't so great for dressing up with. that said, i'm still wearing a giordano long sleeved tee which i snuck out from my brother's closet in his absence, APC new standards, Umbro by kim jones vulcanised low woven sneakers today.

Speaking of Slick Rick, do you remember to ask (before snapping the pic)

"Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who is the cheapest mutha of them all?"
