Nothing too cool, but trying out a new camera: (Lumix FZ7)

RL Polo lambswool sweater, in need of a hot dryer or having the sides taken in
BR "x" me cotton pants, severely edited
    Kelme shoes
    Old-guy-store herringbone Irishman cap
Not visible: Mickey Mouse smashing a guitar t-shirt, express black belt

    It's frickin' freezing today.

Excellent looks! I really like this last one. One thing I have noticed about your outfits is your excellent ability to mix contrasting colors. I love the simplicity of your look with still being able to have great visual interest. What is that jacket and hoodie(?) that you are wearing? I like that dark trim down the front. It works great with the vans!
Thanks, though I always think that I'm kind of boring colorwise. I mostly dress in monochrome except for the occasional little blue or red accent color. When I'm not in B/W/Gray I'm usually in brown or olive. But I do try to make sure something contrasts a little, so that I'm not a total blob of neutrality. The jacket and hoodie are both H&M, though the jacket's from last year. Get Smart, for one thing, that belt is great, and for another, that shirt is wild but *totally* works with the outfit. Awesome.

    Nice hat.

    Did you taper the pants?

Thanks. I recut them on the whole inseam to slim them down. They were sort of relaxed and tapered before and I slimmed/straightened them out. It was really an experiment but it came out so well that I still wear them now.

GS, how would it look if you undid the other bottom button so the last two are undone?

guess it'd show more belt....I'll try it later when I put it back on.

BAD-MUTHAFUCKIN-ASSSS! I diiig the sweater shot. that looks so freakin tuff. the bottom look just screams "bad-mofo"
Seriously, now I know why you (saucy) couldn't pull off my *salmon* shirt. Putting the combat boots with the otherwise-borderline-lame jeans and v neck rocks. Plus everything's a perfect fit.

You look like you're getting ready to go kill a baby.

    Tom

edit: yeah, I'm late to the party. Deal with it.

It's funny, I wasn't sure about the combat boots at the time. I always question the parts of the outfit that are actually what makes it work (when it does work). Anyway, thanks man. Also, I don't kill babies. You militarists kill babies. As a pinko commie, I just "redistribute" their parents' "wealth" until they're forced to kill the baby themselves, for sustenance. Then I put another notch on my belt. P.S.: Good to have you back, man. Hope you get to hang around for a little while.

Yeah, they look really good. Did you have to shorten the rise much to do that?

I'd have liked to shorten it actually, but since these were a 31L and had no allowance to let out (felled rear seam) I could only take the rise up an inch or so and still have to wear them a little higher than I'd like.

Also, I left the length of the legs long so they can bunch up just a bit and also stay on top of shoes instead of pulling up and hooking. I'll get a better pic sometime.
