Crunchola is breakfast cereal. Sultanas are, er, dried sultanas. Do they call them raisins in the USA?

Yep they're raisins. I'd never heard of a Sultana before today.

Home-made free-range fruitcake. None of that green-cherry candied crap.

Dried fruit and bourbon and apple cider and sugar and flour and more bourbon. God I love Christmas.

I went to an Asian market yesterday and loaded up on crazy cheap snacks including:

Ginger Candy - yummy and really spicy, kind of like Botan Rice Candy
gingercandylgls4.jpg

Banh Quai Cheo "Plait Biscuit" braided fried biscuits - lightly frosted. Very crunchy and not bad, not great.

Six Fortune Brand sesame rolls involving peanut, sesame, malt sugar, sugar. Crunchy and good.

Garden brand Cream Wafers, Lemon Flavor - mostly air, but it's a pretty big package

and Roasted Pumpkin Seeds - pretty much what you'd expect.

Total cost on this, some Sriracha, a big tin of cookies, and a $9 six pack of Asahi Super Dry, was $21. That means all the stuff I enumerated earlier totaled about $6.
