The collectors thread made me take a look at my wardrobe. I counted every designer I had at least three garments from (didn't count socks, ties or whatever and might have missed a few).

The portrait I got was surprising, as I realized I only owned 1-2 pieces from few brands I really like (CdG, Junya, YSL, Balenciaga, Carpe Diem, Helmut Lang) and had like three D&G pieces, among other surprises. My wardrobe might be more diverse in term of brands than some (for example I own at most two pairs of shoes from the same maker) but it is still enlightening.

    So the list:
    Adidas (like their trainers)
    Ann Demeulemeester
    APC
    Carol Christian Poell
    Cloak
    Dolce&Gabbana (hahaha)
    Engineered Garment
    Lad Musician
    Lanvin
    Martin Margiela
    Rick Owens
    Sutor Mantellassi (this was surprising)
    Thom Browne
    Uniqlo (all those white tees)

    Anyone else care to try?

I think the only brand I have more than 3 things from is Banana Republic because of their basic fitted tees. My favorite items tend to be from more expensive brands and I simply can't afford to many nice things as a student.

    My list is short:

    Engineered Garments
    Mister Freedom
    J Crew
    Alternative Apparel (just tees)
Banana Republic (mostly just a Monogram suit, shirt, and ties, and a few sweaters)

I have one piece each from Haversack, Chimala, NdG, RRL, 45rpm, Buzz Rickson, NiCo, and Spiewak. Shoes are Timberland Boot Co (2pr), MOMA, Corocoran, PF Flyers.

    I really don't want/need anymore clothes.

I think the only streetwear brands where I own three or more pieces are:

    Trovata
    Penguin
    Ben Sherman
    Modern Amusement
    Marc Jacobs
    Paul Frank

If money were not an issue, then the list above would probably be completely different, but hey, I'm a cheapskate. Most of the above brands are relatively inexpensive to begin with, and I usually buy them on discount.

No need to be streetwear brands. Just don't count your ties and cufflinks.
