Finished "The Truffle Underground" by Ryan Jacobs.

Never knew the truffle business is so rife with criminality.

Absolutely. They intimated premarital sex, in 1915. Sick.

Reading "On Edge: A Journey Through Anxiety," by Andrea Petersen, a journalist for the Wall Street Journal. Informative fact- and story-driven read for anyone who has, or continues, to struggle with anxiety.

Fun fact: these buildings are in Atlanta.

Another fun fact: that hawaii book is so derivative that even though it tells a story i want to read in a setting i was seeking im abandoning the book.

Ah, I thought so. I had a friend that worked in Atlanta and swore those were the buildings across the street from him.

I recognized them on a road trip many years ago from the interstate, and exited to turn around so I could get a picture. Some great pre Actual Air poems on The Baffler.

Bruh this photo had to be taken around 1999, maybe 98? I'm guessing around this time of year, too.

Not sure what year the cover photo was taken (book published in 1999), but I probably snapped that point-and-shoot shot out of my car window around 2009 or 2010.

I think I’ve bought Actual Air about ten times as back in the day it was the most-stolen book from my apartment.
