Have you tried Kay? No disrespect to Rothfuss.

I have not. What would you recommend as a starting point? I'm currently reading a collection of opinions of Lee Kuan Yew, but have space after that.

I remember really liking Michael Moorcock's Elric series but it's been ages.

@ValidusLA

I would start with The Lions of Al-Rassan but some would recommend Tigana.

Both are wonderful, wonderful books. It’s been some time since I’ve re-read Tigana, but Lions is very fresh as I just re-read it in 2021 and it’s knocked my socks off… for a second time!

He chose an interesting pen name, assuming it is a pen name.

EDIT: Nope, that appears to be his real name.
Real name. He's been writing since the 1960s I think.

I like to cycle but am a bit of a baby in the winter so I hit the stationary bike when it's super-cold. Found this neat literary podcast and really like it.

"Writ Large is a Lyceum original podcast about the books that changed the world. In each episode, host Zachary Davis interviews one of the world’s leading scholars about one book that shaped the world we live in—whether you’ve heard of it or not.

These conversations look beyond plot summaries to unpack a book’s context, creation, and initial impact, and reveal its lasting influence on the ideas of today. Guests include professors from universities such as Harvard, Stanford, and Dartmouth, who will talk about the most influential and often overlooked novels, poems, memoirs, philosophical treatises, conspiracies, manifestos, and more. Episodes will also explore the edges of what counts as a “text,” looking at how musicals, cookbooks, catalogues, and other written works have shaped our world."

Satan is a great literary character. Could be epic.
