I'm not sure that's a great idea, I feel some things live better in the imagination than being presented in visual media (and may be the reason for it not being attempted before - apart from a small 2005 production that did it in the style of a black & white silent movie - which worked well enough, but obviously didn't have large mass market appeal. This link may work for that one).
I tend to agree. Carpenter’s « In the mouth of madness » (1995) wasn’t an official adaptation of a HPL book, but captured the essence of his themes.

Houllebecq is a unique writer.
I’ve read all his novels except Serotonin in translation. When Atomised arrived I was working in academic and he was being touted as the new Camus. However this demonstrates an existential callousness and brutality about the human condition that is far removed from previous work.

Yes, he is vicious. I've only read Platform, The Elementary Particles (that's Atomised, right?) and the futuristic one but the name escapes me.

Interesting Atomised was published under that title in the US. He does court controversy for a living I think. Submission about the Islamic takeover of France?

👍i get the FT Weekend on a regular basis think I was away for that.

There was a letter in last weekend edition which also dealt with the abandonment and alienation of white working class youth which is also a factor and eloquence of Trump is based on speaking to MAGA acolytes in their monosyllabic language. Goebbles would be proud.
