Grinding my way through Jordan’s Wheel of Time. Had gotten partway through, diverted to other stuff, and have now returned to it as quarantine reading. I’m about 100 pages into the tenth book.

Just finished Hunting LeRoux: The Inside Story of the DEA Takedown of a Criminal Genius and His Empire by Elaine Shannon.

A really great read.

"Hild" by Nicola Griffith. Although she's better known as a science fiction writer, this is an historical novel set in 7th century Britain, a couple of generations after the Saxon invasion. I'm really enjoying it.

^ I'm going to have to read that after my current book. It takes place as Christianity is replacing the Norse religion in Britain. She just casually referenced Hel and frost giants, and I know next to nothing about them except the names.

Finished on the rez and the new book about Samsung. Gonna continue my occasional series: rereading college texts to keep my pretentiousness alive

Finished "Baseball Cop, the Dark Side of America's National Pastime" by Eddie Dominguez.

I guess MLB really doesn't want any scandals to come to light.

What did you think of this book?

I've been listening to this:

I'm about two thirds of the way through and highly recommend it.

I enjoyed the book very much. Sorta surprised that MLB and the teams would want to keep the PEDs under such tight wraps. Turn a blind eye, I guess.

Was it written after the Astros sign-stealing scandal?
