If This is Man by Primo Levi

Excellent book, albeit one about very hard-to-read subject matter. I read it almost 10 years ago, and I still remember it vividly.

I just started reading Caim by José Saramago. Back in the late '90s I read quite a bit of Saramago (right after he won the Nobel Prize), but it's been a while. Caim is the last novel he wrote before he died. I'm enjoying it very much so far. It's got that typical ironic, humorous tone, but it's also very human and real.

Read The Last Temptation by Kazantzakis? Interesting take on the JC story mind you in terms of sheer weirdness and JC, Behold The Man by Michael Moorcock wins hands down.

Wasn't bad but Stephen King did manage to put his killer clown thing in WTF is that about i don't know. I thought the ending was weird, with a capital W but overall not a bad read.

Yep, I read it on hols with the girls splashing around in the pool everyday. Page turner with anti climax ending

Not a great King fan to be honest read a couple of them years ago. The man can write in that 'page turner' manner. Was more interested in the JFK theme seeing as TV is inundated with programs about the 50th Anniversary of his death. Also wanted to see if he went with that arsehole Oswald or go for a conspiracy theory, but no goes the lone gunman and as for the ending **** me.

Not Mailer but considering it, read The Patriarch by David Nasaw about JPK after listening to interview with him. JFK would **** anything that moved just like Daddy!

The RL program is scheduled for the 19th on National Geographic in Oz. Did you watch JFK the Smoking Gun? Interesting proposition on the ballistic evidence for the kill shot, how plausible is another matter.

Interesting that tragedy of JFK has cast such a long shadow over 20th Century History.
