I started reading this book about three different times and couldn't get through it for some reason.

You have to read it before you have kids, because it gets a lot harder to read when you're a dad.

sublime prose: ..." I gave her to hold in her awkward fist the sceptre of my passion."
Brings a tear.

Next on my list:
Shalom Auslander's novel, Hope: A Tragedy, is a satirical exploration of what it would mean to find an elderly Anne Frank living in one's attic
Any novel with this line gets my attention, "I'm sick of all that Holocaust ****"

"The Blind Watchmaker" by Richard Dawkins. It's a bit involved but given the subject matter - how evolution works - he's doing a good job of explaining things.

Just started Neil Gaiman's American Gods

I really liked American Gods, Neil Gaiman writes some excellent and twisted books and stories, I must read more of his.

I mean, I was enjoying it. Nobody likes high school girls more than me, but other things always took over.

I LOL'd at all these comments.

Surely buying Lolita raises some sort of red flag against your name (that's why I borrowed my friend's copy)
