Yup, those are your choices. Personally, I like them stuffed with goat cheese, then warmed in the oven and served with ratatouille. Very mid '90s.

yellowfin tuna steaks are on sale starting tomorrow. i think im going to get one and serve it over some simple white rice seasoned with scallion and rice wine vinegar. i was thinking of making some pickled spicy cucumbers as a veg.

is there anything else i should try instead of the cucumbers?

Got two deboned trout to cook tonight and need some suggestions. I have a fair amount of produce in the house right now: red and yellow new potatoes, green and purple bell pepper, lemon, lime, eggplant, tomatoes, mango, jalapeno, green beans, zucchini, squash, sweet corn, peaches, blueberries, and pretty much every herb.

What should I make? We won't be eating for a couple hours, so it can be something that might take a bit.

On Thursday I am going to try to make curanto. I will be cheating, using a pot on my bbq rather than a hole in the ground and hot stones. :)
