Ultragrrrl told me she gave the Killers their big break and then got the shaft. Said she even helped 'em write "Mr. Brightside." Hazy after that. But a lucid Pete Doherty told me the Killers told him they ripped off 'Up the Bracket" or something. I believed, and still believe, both these stories. Killers have an impeccable killer instinct, which should translate into great music, but somehow doesn't. I TRY and TRY and TRY to forget the Killers. I know where that song is, but we have no need of a yet another resurrection on this day of all days.
