I'm going to end my set with a Spouge from Barbados. Spouge was created in the 60s and for a while displaced Calypso as the most popular music genre on the island but wasn't really popular anywhere else. It almost totally disappeared by the late 70s with the advent of Soca music as well as the rising popularity of Reggae music but it never truly disappeared. Barbadian Calypso and Soca has a totally different sound due to the influence of spouge.
