One of the best soundtracks out there......Dave Chappelle's Block Party.

Back in the early Netflix days when you would get DVD's sent to your crib, I ordered this and never returned it. I reported that I sent it back and it was never received. I have a nice crisp copy! :bounce2:

Wow, I've never met anyone else who mentioned Special Ed before. I've always really liked his sound.

His music starts at about 1:15 in the video

I live in Brooklyn and know/knew many people in the music industry back in the day. Special Ed was a friend of a friend. Howie Tee was a good friend of a friend and we would be around his way often.

Back in '89, it was thought that Ed and my boy, Freshco, would battle it out at the New Music Seminar(old school music industry event....which included a MC and DJ battle.) They were actually somewhat friends so it would have been strange. Ed didn't enter the seminar(I don't believe) but Freshco did....and he won!

Here is the last round vs MC Serge from Cleveland.

Not to be confused with MC Serch who hosted the battle. Also in the background....Super DJ Clark Kent and DJ Plastizman!

The brilliance of Barry Gibb as a writer:

Andy reveals, "'I Just Want to Be Your Everything' was one of the most meaningful of all form, you know". He later recalls on Barry Gibb's writing style:[5]

"So, once we discussed it all and got the deal together, me and Barry locked ourselves in a bedroom and Barry just started writing. When Barry writes, it is very hard to collaborate with him, because he is so quick. And before I knew it he was starting to do the chorus of ['I Just Want to Be Your Everything'], and I thought, 'Wow what a hook!'. He's an expert at his craft. Within about 20 minutes, he'd written a number one record; and then we went right into another one, ['(Love Is) Thicker than Water']"
