Whisky sour. Egg white or no? Fine sugar or simple?

^^Definitely egg white, simple unless all you have is sugar, never New York style.

its a great way to use the leftover egg whites if you’re making a Caesar Salad.

The perfect beer for putting the Christmas tree up. This is the last of the Ballast Point beers I brought home from California in April.

Thanks!

So, I bought the 16 beacause I'm from PA and visited Schaefferstown when I was a kid. I don't understand the crazy allure of this bourbon. I used to do tastings with Hirsch 16, Pappy 20, one or two BTAC and the old Black Maple Hill 16 Limited. The BMH always won for me, when tasting blind. No one every picked the Hirsch, but some picked the Pappy. I think the BTACs tended to be the favorites. I've never even seen a bottle of A.H. Hirsch 20.

I think both the bottles I bought are from back when no one cared enough to bother.

I bought mine in 2002ish from a reputable liquor store, Pappy 20 was selling in the $60-70 range at the time; happy days!

1998 Chateau de Vacquié 20 Year Old Armagnac on sale at K&L. Bought a bottle as a gift so naturally had to buy a bottle for myself. Opened it last night and thought it was pretty good.

Nikka Miyagikyo- I like to pair it with the Yoichi counterpart (100% bourbon vs 100% sherry)

Old Forester 1920 yesterday. Going to have to get a backup.
Debating whether OF 1920 or Russell's Reserve Barrel picks are my favorite (readily available) bourbons

Red Coat Irish Red Ale from Breton Brewing Company (Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia). A tasty reminder of our trip to NS to visit family back in July.
