Whats this whats this whats this? Looks like fun.

Went out to dinner for the first time since the pandemic tonight (since we're all vaccinated) and had a very cool cocktail the place had whipped up called a 'staycation'. Tequila, rhubarb simple syrup, lemon, punt e mes. Will need to try making it at home.

Nice, will have to try those. Need to get some blue curaçao. Recipe wasn't exact, just what I posted: Tequila, rhubarb simple syrup, lemon, punt e mes. Going to fiddle around with it and get some proportions going.

For a minute I thought that was Casa Del Mar but the fixtures aren't right and the drinks don't suck there.
Nah, it’s the Bungalow, they just opened a new one in Long Beach. The Santa Monica and Huntington Beach locations are fantastic.

One of my best friends just mentioned the Long Beach opening, another reason to head down there.

Don't buy blue curacao. Just pour some of your orange curacao (hopefully ferrand...) into a jar and put blue food color in. It's the same thing.

Little taste test here... The hi-balls were Larceny, with lemon and Schweppes. Went straight, then couple drops of distilled. Realize the Russell’s wasn’t as high proof, but still. Finished 1. RB, 2. SJr, 3. RR. Reopened my eyes to RB. It’d been a while...
