Smuggler's Cove is kind of the Ur-text for contemporary tiki.
Minimalist Tiki is good for keeping things simple.

What's your recipes for drink and syrup

Syrup was pretty easy. Basically just a 1:1 simple syrup but simmer the tamarind (shells and strands removed) for 15 minutes before adding in the sugar. Then just squeeze the tamarind pulp and syrup through a strainer into your favorite syrup container.

After that

Used the Breville smoker to get the glasses all smokey (figure 1). Then 2 oz tequila (used herradura silver) 0.5 oz tamarind syrup (instead of agave syrup), 1 oz lime juice, 0.5 oz ancho reyes (the red one). Shake, add to glasses of choice over ice.

I imagine it would be easy to fancy this up a bit more with better tequila/cointreau and a nicer glass/presentation. I imagine the ancho reyes verde might be even better.

My order was placed at "The Whisky Shop". First time using them so will see how it goes. Used to order from the Whisky Exchange in the UK but shipping went up and stupid f*cking tariffs made it miserable.

Finedrams. Still expensive to ship to USA, but about 1/3 of what the Whisky Exchange is charging.
