If you like Mezcal, you should make this drink. I haven't named it, yet, but as you can tell, it is on the CR#2 plan:

1 oz Mezcal
0.5 oz Carpano Bianco vermouth*
0.5oz Cointreau
0.75 Lime juice
dash simple
heavy dash or two Genepy des Alpes (Green Chartreuse would be an acceptable subsitute)

* Carpano Bianco is very vegetal and herbal. You need that quality to make this drink work. Lillet/Cocchi are too sunny and would never work. Maybe Comoz. Maybe an herbal dry vermouth like Vya or Dolin would work.
