Dead soldier post for today - purchased at K&L in San Fran in 2012 and hoofed it around with four other bottles in my Saddleback messenger (now stolen by some asshole) converted to backpack. Absolutely delicious. One of the best ever. But, it is my favorite whisky aged in casks from my favorite wine, so that could be wrong how?

Nice! My all-time favorite is a Chartreuse tiki drink-- the Chartreuse Swizzle (only worth doing if you've got fresh pineapple and homemade falernum).

1½ oz. green Chartreuse
1 oz. pineapple juice
¾ oz. fresh lime juice
½ oz. falernum

Made something up after a hard days work. Don’t mind the weak lemon.

Yeah, that was the inspiration for the cross.

I love a Chartreuse Swizzle, but I don't have pineapple juice on hand in these deprived times.

Last time I made a Chartreuse Swizzle I blended it with frozen pineapple chunks from the grocery store. This was also good.

Trying out new Negroni recipes. I quite like this one:

0.75 oz. Beefeater's London Dry Gin
0.75 oz. Ransom Old Tom Gin
1 oz. Cocchi Torino Sweet Vermouth
1 oz. Select Aperitif
