Rise Of The Jellyfish NEIPA at Gunbarrel Brewing (Boulder, CO), and a good book.

Oh my, you guys. I was taking a rare break from some stressful time and hanging with some very dear friends who make truly excellent cocktails (my standards are very high in this regard) and have an amazing spirits selection. Multiple cocktails in we started tasting spirits - 25yo Calvados, good Armagnac, some Irish, and I ended with Octomore. OMG. I was so sick. I've never been *really* drunk before, you know, a little headache maybe in the morning a few times, but nothing that ever stopped me from doing whatever I was going to do. I just spent all day in bed. The headache. The spins. The puking. The puking while crapping. While the room spins. OMG.

I've been there, albeit when much younger and on much inferior booze. I am going to venture a guess that the Octomore did not help.

Never had the Younger, always wanted it -- but apparently not enough to stand in the line required to get it!

I just found out that one of our local watering holes is tapping a keg of Younger this coming Saturday. Is it worth the effort? They're charging $13 for a pour, but most of that is a charity fundraiser...

It is an excellent IIIPA. No doubt about it. Is it worth the hype and lines? Up to you, but a charity donation would appear the perfect excuse to judge for yourself.

Favorite cocktail books? My go-to as of late has been Sasha Petraske's Regarding Cocktails. Simple and good recipes that don't require a lot of exotic ingredients.

Dimple Pinch 15.

Blended, easy to drink. A bit of old band-aid, i.e. iodine, vanilla, caramel...just grab a bottle as it's under $40.
you had me at band-aid! lmao  No really describe it like Hemmingway would. calling @beargonefishing
