Tried David Souter's new Yamhill Pinot. Very nice and a depature from the Etude brand he sold off.

Supreme Vinyards?

Seriously, is this the David Souter I'm thinking of? If so, is that really what he's doing with his retirement?

Having a mojito right now. It's good.

Used Del Maguey Vida to make a Pegu Club -- pretty yummy, especially as I used lime simple syrup. More contempletative after-dinner drink was a Vida Old-Fashioned: 1.5oz Vida, lime zest, barspoon lime simple, Boker's bitters, dash of Angostura orange. Yummy!

Dry shake for 30 secs, then 2-3 min shaken with ice. It was pretty creamy, but due to the long shake it diluted a lot. Probably will wrap the shaker in alu foil next time. And/or cool the gin in advance.
2oz gin
0.5 oz lime juice, lemon juice, simple syrup
1 oz cream
7 drops OFL
3-4 cl egg white
