There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I have and I like it very much, especially the strong celery seed flavor.

With some cool water, slowly upping the dilution to extend the drink until I'm drinking anise water at the bitter end. A single ice cube if I'm impatient, never sugar.

It's not Belle Époque traditional, but it's how I learned to drink Pastis in France and has worked well for its more potent (and usually better) ancestor.

This would be Fernet for me, but I can see the merits of shots of Chartreuse, as long as it doesn't get out of hand the way it did with a certain other herbal liqueur...

To say that cocktails and fernet is not a trend is rather ostrich like.

Today is "???" Margarita Day. At least that's what I heard on PTI last night.

    Anyone know the details?

    Cheers,

Really? I have always struggled with its sweetness straight, though on occasions the VEP neat is lovely.

That's where I was seeing the punsch cocktails, so it all works out.

I tried the Chartreuse neat last night. Then added a rock, then a splash of Luxardo, then a splash of whiskey... meh.

I love Chartreuse neat, but in small amounts. I'll frequently take a half ounce or so neat while preparing a Last Word. Primes the taste buds. A little alcohol burn, the anise finish...mmm.

It's very refreshing with tonic as well.

I heard about it this morning. Just finishing a margarita now. Bought some Campari today, so a Negroni next. I drink them in bars, made no sense that I couldn't make one at home.

How do you like the Kina? I like it quite a bit, but it didn't make a better CR#2 than Lillet blanc and Cocchi Americano do. Which cocktails do you use it in? It worked well in a vinaigrette (for a field salad/fennel/orange salad).

Well, true, but I really just sipped it. I think I used 2/3 oz, one cube, maybe a dash of water and sipped it for 5-10 minutes. Some might drink it in one big gulp.

Past few days lots of port wine (Sandeman Vau Vintage '00), Richmond Gimlets, Duplais blanche, L'Aviations. Very tasty. Drinking a Richmond Gimlet now. The mint takes it to another level.

Your Final Ward was badly missing its citrus.
