Close, ama, the Tango is in Cleveland.

ed: The VTR makes their own bitters, sodas, syrups, etc, and is the only of the top-end cocktail bars I know that squeeze the citrus for each drink individually, rather than using a bottle of squeezed per shift. In my opinion, it is the finest cocktail bar to exist, and one of my favorite places to be on earth. Spent last weekend there, in fact.

Having a glass of Sahtea with my wife after a really nice take on a breakfast burrito.

Making a little baked curry tofu to enjoy later this week. Might save a little of the Sahtea to have with that tomorrow if I can keep from drinking the entire bottle tonight.

Unfortunately , I am a lifelong Chargers fan. I am an SDSU alumni however, so at least I have my Aztecs Bball team! Chicago was my "NFC Team," until they got Cutler, who I can't stand.

Was turned onto the Pegu Club by this thread. Such a well ballanced cocktail. Easy to play w/ ingredients as well (ie, using different citrus types). As sick as this sounds, just writing about it makes me want one now!

Very jealous. Have no idea when I'll be back. Still have the framed picture of Mrs. Piob and I there on my office credenza.

Currently drinking some manhattans (really hooked onto them for a while now for some reason). What rye whiskeys do you guys use for manhattans? I've often used Overholt and was thinking of switching to another brand. Any suggestions?

I use rittenhouse bonded/sazerac 6 rye, or crown royal special reserve.

Having a cocktail of my own devising that I've mentioned here before, that I've termed the Aurora.

    3/4 oz lime juice
    3/4 oz St. Germain
2 oz Gin (Beefeater for the current drink)
    lime peel to garnish.

Basically a copy of the aviation proportions, but lime and St. Germain instead of lemon and Maraschino.
