Ahhh ran out of winter warmers. Looks like I'll have to go buy some more soon. Anyone have suggestions for what I should get? Some I have enjoyed are: Fuller's Old Winter Ale, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, and Old Jubilation.

Currently enjoying some Storm King Stout by Victory Brewing Company.

Samuel Smith's is pretty good. Are you familiar with Beer Advocate? http://beeradvocate.com/beer/style/47/?sort=avgD

A grappa that needed to be chilled more.

Just finished a retro-themed NYE dinner (soufflÃ[IMG], vegetarian Wellington, cherries jubilee) At a favorite local place and now I'm having a sidecar waiting for the aforementioned dessert. Mght pick up a bottle of something to take back to the room.

First time having a sidecar and I really like it!

Just made a White Cuban with Du Chalet chocolate liqueur and Flor de Cana 18. May have been overkill with the FDC. I didn't float the cream though... [IMG]

Yanks drinking crown get a tip of my Number (N)ine hat.

I am currently drinking some maker's mark neat. I move offices tuesday down to our main litigation / controversy floor, which means packing up my office liquor cabinet, so I'm staging a lil tasting of my entire collection of bourbon as it currently stands. December put a big dent in said collection. I think the new year's resolution should be to finish January with 20 bottles.

I will end up having something else before the end of the year, but this is going to ring it in

Indeed. My first real foray into single malt, and it's a success so far. Bottle was kindly given to me by member Rambo. Definitely makes me want to get more into scotch.

    Nice gift!

Me, I am working on some Suntory Hakushu and some Johnny Walker Green Label. I prefer the Suntory.

Result of the cocktail week that my guest seems to be allergic against alcohol and opted out after half a glass each time.

    We've had this week:
    The Last Word
    Sidecar
    Old fashioned
    White Russian
    Cuba Libre
    Dry Martini
    Dirty Martini
    Daiquiri

Right now I'm having a green tea with honey and a shot of Ron Barceló Imperial.

[IMG] I agree, it was a pretty good beer, but pretty overhyped and probably could have been more flavorful. Oh well....

Having a Macallan 12, because I ended up bringing home the bottle from the bar last night after everybody wanted to bounce really early (like 3am) and I'd just gotten this thing. Takeaway booze. Big Mac, Mac Mini [IMG]

Just finished a late brunch with the wife (great dish of vegetaran cabbage roll on potatoes au gratin with a poached egg and tomato flavored gravy) and now I'm going between fresh cinnamon coffee and a strong mimosa. Wife's having a bloody mary/bull with one of the biggest garnishes I've ever seen.

First new years in a while that I woke up feeling good!

It sucks ass. Horrible champagne in the likes of garbage-Moet, stinck-bomb-Tattinger, craptaquilar-Cliquot and super-shitty-Dom.
