I am drinking vodka
Vodnka with snus
A very good for it's price Chilean Cab called Los Vascos.
Three fingers of Macallan 18.
Vodnka with snus
New Zealand Sauv blanc
Magnum of Cote de Luberons
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace.
^Those things must be uncomfortable to drink. Especially with all the rhinestones on the Ed Hardy stuff.
edit: I noticed that it's gone now. I was making fun of a spammer.
I'm having a beer. Either a Saranac Black and Tan (the remnants of a variety pack) or a Yuengling. I haven't decided yet.
Here I am, miserable about one part of life, encouraged by a note from an old friend in another, the night drags on with hours of study ahead and a pivotal week of work beginning. Naturally, I think it is time to pause for a cocktail.
Tonight's lone indulgence, an old cocktail with one of my favorite ingredients, Lillet Blanc.
The 20th Century
1-1/2 oz Hayman's 'Old Tom' Gin (if unavailable, add 3/8 oz simple syrup to a London Dry)
3/4 oz Lillet Blanc
3/4 oz Creme de Cacao (white)
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
Shake hard, serve in a cocktail glass with a twist.
It's weird how the lemon highlights a sort of dry chocolate flavor.
Last night I had Bruichladdich - the classic one in the tin.
I also had some no name wine with no country of manufacture, no % of alcohol which ruined the whisky. I was at a Bruichladdich tasting a few weeks ago and really liked their Vancouver one, but that was a limited edition and you can't get it off the shelf in Toronto.
It was so good I don't remember where I left my credit card wallet. Luckily it's either at my uncle's place in his dining room or my aunt's car in the rear seat.
A negroni. Picked up some Campari the other day on a whim, and have been having a negroni, or two, every night since.
After I pick up my wife tonight, I might switch to bourbon or scotch...I've got a good bottle of each downstairs.
Sidecar. Truly a wonderful concoction.
caol ila 12, official bottle
a perhaps altogether unwise amount of Canadian Club Overproof in an eggnog.
