Will soon be drinking from a nice bottle of Calvados I won over the new year.

    I hear that's your thing?

OK, could very well be coincidence, but woke up this morning 90% better.. [IMG]
Wonderful. One night I had a cold, 102+ fever, the works, and I was on my way the very next day for a little vacation to my favorite bar (this requires a flight), and sure as life the moment I made it past security and was on my way 'home' (to the bar, that is), I felt absolutely fine!
    Fire water!
OK, so I can understand you saying this about Grappa, but Calvados? Dude. Make yourself a Widow's Kiss or something. ~ H

Lucky you. I drained my last bottle of Michter's bourbon about 3 months ago and have been unable to find it since.. [IMG]

Really? I assume you are talking about the 10 yo one, but even that one I've seen plenty. The 10 yo rye on the other hand I've only seen in one store around me. You could always try buying it online. [IMG]

Good to know, they had some bottles of the bourbon right next to the rye.

[IMG] to the George T. Stagg. I've always wanted to try that

There are two of them though so be careful. There is a cheaper one with no age statement and a 10 yo one. The 10 yo is significantly better.

lol, weird, since the local has at least a half dozen of the rye on sale for $62.99.. I live in a no-ship state, which I think pertains to most of dixie.

Yes, the 10 year old. There is also a Michter's American Whiskey, which is not a true bourbon, but it's also good, and relatively inexpensive.

[IMG] last time I bought it (when I could find it that is...) I paid in the $80s.
