What are you drinking right now?

    I made this last night (while watching "Bullitt"), does anyone know if this is an official cocktail?

    Bulleit bourbon-2 shots
    Simple syrup- teaspoon
    Ice
    Club soda to fill the tumbler
    Twist of lime

    I guess it is similar to an old fashioned with soda, or a standard highball with a little extra sweetener. Very good though...

    Its amazing, but ya'll still have to try William Larue Weller, its up there with Stagg.

    Any bottles of Weller left in your area? There aren't any down here.

    Plenty, even after I got mine =)

    Drinking Hudson Manhattan Rye - decent, pretty sweet, not worth the $$

    Last night had a pretty good bottle of Chateneuf Du Pape. The night before had some Three Floyds Robert the Bruce.

    Can anyone recommend a good book for mixed drink recipes? Particularly, one with a slant towards old fashioned drinks.
