Started this evening with an Aviation with a base of Greylock gin, which is a local Massachusetts number. Well, two Aviations.

Brought in an '89 Aldo Conterno Barolo Riserva "Gran Bussia" which we drank eating this:

I started out with a ragoût of roasted foraged mushrooms and a bit of onion.

About to have desert...

yum, whole pig's head. I've always thought of the pig's cheek as one of the best parts on the entire animal. Delicious!

Bulleitt is defiantly not above mixing. There are better bourbons for the money (Evan Williams Single Barrel, George Dickel, Elmer T. Lee, Weller, Knob, Makers Mark...).

I'm drinking Laga 16, oldie, but goody.
