Kicking back and relaxing with an Asahi Super Dry. Great Japanese beer, but quite pricey, especially on a student budget. Got myself a six-pack after my maths exam on Friday, finishing it off at the moment.

Opened up a bottle of The Glenlivet last night. Gotta say, scotch is an acquired taste. I had to dilute it with water, and plenty of ice to stomach it. [IMG]

I am a scotch lover. However, I'm not nuts for Glenlivet or Glenfiddich.

    Sangria for me now.

Earlier, had pink champagne in those idiotic piccolo bottles with bright pink plastic wrapping, served with a straw in the bottle.

Shouldn't complain though, it was free.

Glenlivet and Glenfiddich seem to be the two most popular single-malts (at least in America), and I really don't know why. I don't think either is all that spectacular. Caol Ila, Cragganmore, Lagavulin and Talisker are all better choices IMO.

I'll tell you what I wish I was drinking, a Havana Club and Coke. In the past six months I've bought seven different rums and the Añejo Reserva is the best Coke-mixer there is. I brought a bottle back from Canada but am saving it for a special occasion.

On a related note, has anyone here tried the Bacardi Havana Club? I want to try it but won't be in South Florida for a long time.

I could still complain, especially if I didn't drink any. It lacks civility.

I don't think it was just the type of scotch, but more likely the taste of scotch in general. It's not a taste I can see myself being friends with at the moment.

For me, it came in a smaller bottle (375 mL), and had a smaller price tag ($22.55) than any other single malt.
