Finishing up a "New York Lager" from Nørrebros Bryghus I had with my meal...

Allthough it was a little to weak for the heavy and spicy meal, it was actually pretty good. Pilsner like, but quite bitter and almost citrus/lemon like. Though not really... Apparently made with Cascade hopps, though I have no idea what that would intale...

Old Fashioned. Yes I muddled it with orange and Maraschino Cherry. Yes I know that isn't an accurate recreation of the original cocktail but I like it. Maybe I will call this a "New Fashioned".

Have several WIPAs in the fridge.

If the cherry's a Fabbri and not one of those hideous red things you're in the clear.

Last night, I tried an incredible tequila. Asombroso anejo. Eight years in French oak. Simply incredible, with all the wonderful flavours oak imparts. My only criticism is the bottle looks like a penor.

LOL, Pio. I need me some Sotol.

Mojito, followed by some Seghesio '02 Old Vines Zin with the BBQ (sausage, chicken, brisket, pork, btw), and rounded over by a lovely julep.

Glenfiddich, the juice of one lime, and orange juice over ice. I suppose it's a high-dollar whisky sour of sorts, and it's the perfect conclusion to a long weekend.

Had this little red over the weekend. It's a nice blend of Cab Sav, Cab Franc, Syrah and Mourvedre.

Very smooth with chewy tannins and nice dark fruits mixed with chocolate on the palate! Great little wine to have when grilling out!

Not my pic sorry. I peeled the label for my book before I remembered to take a pic

Just had some friends over for a midday drink on the piazza. I stopped by the liquor store to pick up some Tanqueray, but decided that I'd also get some rye, sweet vermouth, and bitters to make a Manhattan. I'd actually never had a Manhattan before in my 25 years of existence--I've also been more of a gin & tonic guy in the summer. I enjoyed it; pretty clean no-nonsense type drink.

Unfortunately, I forgot to buy maraschino cherries, but a friend told me that some people make them with an orange peel rubbed over the rim of the glass... Kosher? Anyway, it was good, and I can see myself adding that to a very small repertoire of drinks I enjoy when I want to relax.

Aviation - Huntsman's recipe. Very good except I used 1 oz Tanqueray (killed the bottled) and 1 oz Junipero.
