Kwilk, go up a few bucks, and try a BV cab, 2005, Rutherford. Should be able to find for about $20. You'll thank me later.

A month old, but I found a bottle and am drinking it now. It is very nice. Very, very nice. It's slightly sweet, because it has some berry flavors, but has a little bit of the smokey oak flavor too. I like it a lot. Thanks for the rec.

Glad you like it. Pretty damn nice sip for the money, isn't it?

I realized that my bottle of Lillet Blanc is probably close to expiring. So far my favorite cocktail to make with it has been the Corpse Reviver #2. Decided to modify the recipe a little bit, into a mixed drink in a collins glass rather than a cocktail:

    1 oz. Gin (Bombay Sapphire)
    1 oz. Triple Sec
    1 oz. Lillet Blanc
1 oz. Lemon Juice (Not fresh, unfortunately)
    Lots of ice.
    Top up with 7-Up
    Garnish with two cherries.

Maybe this isn't in the spirit of the original recipe, but the results are favorable. There isn't two much 7-Up in the drink, probably between 1-2 oz. Also, I didn't have a corpse that needs reviving, although after a few of these I might.

I could only find it for $29. I'd buy it again at that price, but there are a lot of others I'd buy before that. Now, if I could find that bottle for around $20 like you said, I'd be sure to stock up and buy 3-4 bottles (yes, stocking up for me means 3-4 bottles, not 3-4 cases [IMG]).

    Firday - Leinenkugel Summer Wheat

Saturday - Heinekin (was all that the small hotel had)

Sunday - Alabazam (thanks again Hunstman for the recipe)

Last night - Sam Smith Pale Ale

Tonight - Sam Smith Taddy Porter

I went through a very long stage of just drinking cheaper domestic and imported lagers/beers and the Pale Ale from last night was the nicest beer I've had in a long time.

Can anyone suggest the next steps I should take in my beer re-discovery?
