Dood, I love how you get after it once you’ve got the scent of “prey.”
The collection is continually growing haha. Been really fun (if not a touch expensive!) to explore the higher proofs.

I was by no means a Blanco aficionado at 40% ABV, but the differences between brands/distilleries struck me as far less notable. Higher proofs come off more scotch like in their differences, which makes the exploration more enjoyable, imo.

Anybody try both the Azul and Chato? Only had a pour of each, but I think I pretty comfortably prefer the Azul, which seems to run against the general consensus that I've seen.

Still very good, but I think the Azul is incredible

Quite good, though don’t view it as favorably as most seem to, as it seems to be one of the best regarded HPs

I've told this story before, but:

I was at a Sandals in the Bahama for a wedding, saw they had Campari behind the bar so I asked for a Negroni. The bartender didn't know it, so I told him the recipe. Ended up just behind the bar making it myself. He asked to try it, then brought over all the other bartenders to try it. Apparently Campari is really popular for some local drink, but they'd never heard of the Negroni, and all loved it.

Went to another one of the bars on the resort that night and the bartender shouts out "Hey, it's Negroni Guy!"

I was known as "Negroni Guy" by all the bar staff for the rest of the week.

This is a great story. I was in T&T and there was Campari and rum everywhere. Not really clear how the former was consumed but I know it wasn't Negroni!

A touch underwhelming to me, relative to the praise it's received. But, at a proper price, this is brilliant

What about go to drinks when you're out?
Manhattans and Negronis I make all the time at home, so I usually skip them.
It's been a thing for awhile, but I still love the Penicillin.
The ginger, the Islay Scotch. I'm too lazy to do them myself.
320 main in Seal nails them.
