[IMG] Plus tonic and lime. I had a rough day so I'm going to get pretty slammed and rock out.

I've heard about the 35 cent special, but whenever I go, it's not available. Edison is definitely one of the best bars in so. Cal (yes that includes Hollywood, West LA, OC, SD). I prefer going there on the weekdays as the weekends get kind of busy.

thurs is 35¢ martini happy hour from 5-7

We had a nice 2004 Siduri Psioni for dinner. Now, it's part of my last Wiser's Deluxe whisky.

    A delicious Dark and Stormy.

To make: muddle a slice of lime with some brown sugar, add two ozs. Goslings Black Seal rum, stir, add ice and top off with Ginger beer and stir again. I use Reed's brand ginger beer, which is pretty good and incidentally, the only brand readily available.

The only rum I've ever used in a Dark 'n Stormy is Lamb's Navy 151 ... [IMG]

FAIC, a Dark'N'Stormy needs Goslings to get the right appearance.

I totally regret not bringing my flask to work today. I'd be drowning in EW by now.

+1 Goslings, I believe, trademarked the recipe for awhile. I wouldn't use a 151 because why? Negroni here, using my very new very nice Martin Miller gin. Good Stuff! [IMG]

What would you compare this to, if you had to? Closer to the pure, juniper flavors of something like Citadelle or the more botanical Bombay or Tanqueray?
