and it's suddenly quite nice... Drink three to five of these slowly.”
Wife?Same I just speak the language at this point
I always find it odd how some people may snub those. Like, are they really not as "nice" as a gin and tonic? Or scotch and soda?Sure they may not be the fanciest of drinks, but I'll never turn down a cognac+coke, brandy+coke or rum+coke.
That and maybe they're a standard basic bar mixed drink. And maybe because kids drink soda/coke but not tonic.Because they're sweet
scotch/whiskey and coke is delicious tooSure they may not be the fanciest of drinks, but I'll never turn down a cognac+coke, brandy+coke or rum+coke.

In honor of national mezcal day, a prickly pear pechuga margarita. Delicious.
Maybe should not be using such a fine mezcal in a cocktail (Maguey Melate is so good!), but the flavors really shine through and this is just delicious.
* 2 oz maguey melate papalotmel pechuga
* 0.5 oz ancho reyes verde
* 0.5 oz fresh squeezed prickly pear juice
* 0.25 oz agave syrup
* 0.75 oz lime juice
* half dash of bittermans mole syrup
So good.
Damn I don’t have any of those ingredients, I will look into itMake some cocktail with that vida. IMO do a stone knife:
2 oz mezcal
0.5 oz suze
0.25 creme de menthe (use something good like tempus fugit)
dash of bittermans mole bitters
stir with ice, pour over a large rock.
So good.
So damn good man. I'm really glad you made the reference to introduce me to it!Glad you like the Melate stuff man!
