Last night, I had a mild tragedy. I opened up a nice Amarone, after we talked about them here. The only problem was, it was just a 2004. I committed infanticide. Had to decant about three hours.

Had a bottle of Chianti resevera out at dinner, at a nice upscale Italian place. Then we went to one of my usual spots, a really nice steak house where we often do happy hours in their jazz bar, for creme brulle. They have the best in the city IMO. So I snagged a couple of glasses 1963 Taylor's. Then it was home to check on the progress of the Amarone.

Now I'm having a coffee, but there is a whole other thread for non-alcoholic "What are your drinking" so I'll go post that there.

Was down in the states yesterday picking up a package, swung by a grocery store and picked up 12 bottles of this "Henry Weinhard Private Reserve" that was on sale.

It ******* sucks... So weak, tastes like soda water.

It's unfortunatley non alcoholic.
