1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

You did not just say Detroit....I was down there a few weeks ago on Woodward Ave., a few blocks away from Tigers Stadium, I believe, walking toward the lake. My friend saw this homeless guy, african american, nappy hair, bearded, jean shorts etc. Wearing a Miami Heat jersey...carrying two trash bags and He was holding a jagged sword, and following us talking about soccer.

    That is fucking Detroit style.

Has anyone mentioned Vienna? I was there a few years ago and was very impressed
with the understated elegance of many men in the city's center. Certainly, the majority
couldn't or wouldn't pay Knize prices, but they successfully copied the style.

In my opinion there is little competition for London, New York and Milan if what you are asking is a combination of well dressed men in the most stylish locations, as opposed to the badly dressed men on the streeets of any city in the world, and for shopping.

Naples is a great place to have clothes made but the local dress is not particularly stylish once you exit Rubinacci. Paris has great fashion, but well dressed Parisian men go to London for their clothes. Hong Kong copies London, and sometimes Italy, and so does Tokyo though it also has some vibrant fashion.

If the list extended to five I would probably add Madrid and Vienna.

Well, we're definitely considering manufacture. I think that, for example, is largely the basis of Chicago's argument, being the home of Oxxford, Optimo, Horween etc.

    Not HKG.. PERIOD..

Other than The Armoury & some tailors..

Other than the few remaining SF iTriads..

It really is only a designer brand obsessed culture - preferably black clothing..

I can't believe some of the things I am hearing in the thread... Of course I am baised, but I think New York tops them all. I really like what Will has said. But in my opinion in New York you could walk two blocks over and find yourself in a completely different world architecurally and style-wise. I feel like the style is as diverse as its neighborhoods. There is still some of the old school prep, high fashion, punk, hipster, CBD, GMS all of it.

I was in Albuquerque once when I was in college and it blew my mind. I felt like I was in a different world. I definitely stuck out like a sore thumb too. If you want people wearing white, terracotta, and teal to stare at you get off an airplane in Albuquerque wearing a black Dior suit.

Agree with New York & Milan but Venice ?? Venice is full of well dressed visitors from all over the world rather then the indigenous so for that reason i say London not Venice.

One of the must do's before you die stay at the Cipriani in Venice its simply wonderful.
