Peter christian claim the front rise on their moleskin trousers (34 waist) is 16.5 inches so that’s 41cm! A huge difference compared to the Hoggs. I am not sure I trust these measurements.

Edit they have corrected its 13 inches on the front and 16.5 rear.

How is the quality of Peter Christian stuff? Those moleskin trousers look nice, as do the donegal trousers.

I only have the moleskins, and they’re great for the price. They did need tapering and hemming but that’s normal. I am not a fan of the comfort waistband, I’d prefer side pull tabs but it’s not a deal breaker for me.

Fairly good. Their moleskin trousers are arguably the best value OTR.

As mentioned, the comfort waistband doesn't seem to be alterable if that's an issue. It's great towards the end of the day though if you're prone to bloating like I am.

I did have a button pop off from the rear pocket, but not a big deal.

No taper for me though, I find the cut to be relatively slim. If you lift weights the thighs may be a touch snug.

Resurrecting this thread. Anyone have suggestions for 5 pocket moleskin pants? Nothing too crazy slim. I see Lands' End doesn't have the ones mentioned this year

I have two very different pair of moleskins and enjoy each for what it is. The pair from O’Connel’s is thick with nice tailoring details, full cut, and traditional. The Lands pair is much thinner, almost to the point of simply being brushed cotton pants, more trimly cut, including more narrow pant leg openings, and “five pocket.”

Two different looks and feels. Glad I have both. However, the O’Connels pair will likely be here long after I am. :)

The O'Connell's pair is in good ol' loden green. The LE pair is sort of a rusty brown. Both very fallish, traditional, and boring but they work well for me.

Fair warning: no one should expect a pair from LE to have the heft or build quality of a more traditional source but that is reflected in price. Again, two very different pair of trousers but both useful.

My moleskin trousers from Cordings. I do not remember what to call the colour of the left brown ones.
To follow, Rust, Wine, Purple, Navy and Black. I now realize that I should have ones in Green.
I have all of those tightened slightly throughout by my local tailor.

Slight resurrection, does anybody know if Moleskin trousers exist in a size 27 waist and a 7.5-8in hem for under 150-200 usd? Or if not, where to go for MTM/MTO? All the brands in the previous 8 pages only go down to a size 30/32 which is definitely too big for me. I'd be willing to try a size 28 and bring it to the tailors as well.

luxire might have some moleskin in that price range. Would recommend you send in a pair of well fitting pants for them to replicate
