What are the best jeans under $100?

    Does anyone own raw jeans from uniqlo.


    I have the Uniqlo dry selvage (greenline) and it's a really nice jean. For $40 it's mos def the best bang for little buck. Fits like a 501 and I like the unbleached weft.

    I love GAP's sizing options, waist and inseam. You can get the perfect fit, I think it's GAP's strong suit.

    i cant get gap jeans that fit. they dont seem to make a 29 or 30 waist with a 34 inseam.

    I'd go for some dark Levi's 514s, myself.

    +1 I have 2 pairs that are in my normal jean rotation. For $30 (at discount stores like Mervyns) you cant go wrong.

    I was at gap yesterday b/c some people were making noise about the selvedge jeans. I tried on the morrison's and they were suprisingly, um, good? the fit was really weird-like an american waist, seat and thigh, but it makes a quick taper to your ankles. I think if you can buy them long enough, you could just hem the weird fit out; or, if you're small enough (I'm a 32), it might look cool. I would wait 3 months for the $98 selvedge to go on sale since $98 is close enought to a real pair of jeans; but the one wash for $58 seemed just fine for a pair of jeans you might wear for a season or two before you're bored with them. as for the sales tax ripoff/confusion, maybe artisan fan has 3 kids and they're blowing the college fund on traopper keepers and artisanfan just wants a piece of the pie for himself...but, does sales tax even matter if it's not over a grand?? I've lived in high tax cities all of my life and I don't think I'd ever go online to try to figure out how to save $10-and I'm a student!

    I have a friend going to NYC for the week and I want her to pick some up for me. As for sizing, did they shrink/stretch? I've heard different things on them (someone said their 31s stretched to 33/34 and someone else said they shrank)... any info would be great [​IMG]
