What Am I Going To Do With All That Junk...

...all that junk inside my trunk.

Although the title appears facetious, the topic is not...see, despite my svelte 138 lbs @ 5'9.5", I have a large ass. I used to do a lot of fencing and now do capoeira and tae kwon do, so that definitely contributes, but in any event it is out of proportion with the rest of my body. Where many like skinny-fit jeans and super-slim dress pants - think Nudie Slim Jims or mafoofan's Ambrosi trousers - I look really silly in them because of the total imbalance between top and bottom - it would be absurd, frankly.

But my upper-body is still very, very slim - 36S, basically - and although I am trying to develop it, it's still only going to look good in slim-fitting jackets and shirts. So, sometimes, I run into the problem where the bottom of my outfit is much looser than the top.

Anyone else have this problem? What can I do? Should I resign myself to this imbalance? I don't know that I can really reduce the size of my rear - it's not fat, it's muscle, and I don't want to give up my lower-body intensive sports like capoeira.

Yeah I'm built the same way as far as proportions. You could work out your upperbody but you should just accept that slim fit is not your look. Get stuff that fits your ass and have the rest taken in. All my pants have to be taken in the waist.

How do you mean about having stuff taken in? Here's pics, ignore the actual clothes as I was on vacation in the bahamas:

I was once told that you should buy clothes that fit your largest body part, then have all the rest taken in. For example, you buy a suit make sure it fits the shoulders (duh) but also make sure the vents aren't pulling at your butt.. Then you take it to a tailor and have the waist taken in on the jacket and most likely you'll have to have the waist taken in on the pants. This ensures that you have room for your butt. But that you aren't wearing **** that is too big for you. With dress pants you get the size that fits your butt good then you go to the tailor because inevitably the waist will be too big. This is what I do.

edit: Is that your mom? She's got a great rack.

Well, this has gone from the worst thread of all time to the best in two quick sentences.

Bwahahaha!

While I don't have the same issue as you (my upperbody is larger) I also find that the arse is often a problem area for me, even if due to my different proportions is not as apparent as in your case. You will just need to unfortunately, as was mentioned, choose carefully what you wear. Otherwise slim fit can unwittingly become skinny fit

Dude, no offense, but I seriously recommend that you bulk up your upper body - you're tiny. Even if you could gain just 10 lbs of muscle in your upper body it would make a tremendous difference.

And, for reference, this is all coming from a guy with a big ass that used to be skinnier than you are (145 lbs at 6'2"). Now that I'm a lot bigger than that, I look a lot better (though, I could stand to shed a few pounds).

Just work out your upper body. It wont be difficult for someone your small size to pack on muscle quickly. I have the opposite problem, my upper body is great but I have no ass. Lets go 50/50?
