1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

back at Gimpo next week, lol. Nobody uses Gimpo besides some commuter flights to and from Tokyo Haneda and Osaka.

Do any of the heavy fliers check-in on facebook when they get places? Globetrotter? I want to see somebody who has taken the Timeline map to the next level, someone who has already covered it in check-ins. Mine is going okay, but missing huge sections that I want to fill in later.

I want to see your map, dude. It's probably well covered? Here is mine right now, I hope to go off to Europe and cover most of it as soon as possible, on some sort of soul mending tour. I am not so interested in South America or Africa.

^ yeah, I think that I stand at just under 100 countries or territories, the number has hardly changed in the past 10 years - having a real business reason to get to some of the smaller places in africa or the pacific is basically impossible. I'm missing 4 or 5 states in South America, several in central, about half of africa, and a few central asian "stans", and the pacific islands, basically. either I'll fill in some of the blanks or I won't. I'm not losing sleep over it.

Flying out of JFK at 6:30 tonight (JetBlue).

I flew out of Burlington, VT a couple of days ago. I got to the airport at 3:35 and was able to make a 4:05 departure. Gotta love dinky airports, but only for that reason.

might be at NRT and ICN in a few days, but hopefully not, and I can use the salaryman's HND and GMP route as usual.

Last night at Buffalo I was literally the only passenger going through security. I was confused as I approached because I assumed I was in the wrong place.
